Holmes earns Enrolled Agent status

PARIS — H&R Block of South Paris would like to congratulate their employee, Vikki Holmes, on successfully completing the Enrolled Agent exam with the Internal Revenue Service. Enrolled Agents are the only tax practitioners licensed to practice by the federal government who specialize in taxation and also have unlimited rights to represent taxpayers before the IRS.

Holmes was required to pass a comprehensive examination which covers all aspects of the tax codes, such as personal returns, partnerships, estates, trust and corporations. She will be required to take continuing education credits every year to maintain her Enrolled Agent status.

Holmes has been employed with H&R Block for 23 years and she can be reached at 743-2400. The South Paris office is celebrating 42 years in business at the same location, 42 Main Street in South Paris. The office is open year round and can help taxpayers with any tax issues they might have with the IRS or the State of Maine.
