SMH Henry Raymond, RN receives certification
NORWAY — Western Maine Health Vice President of Clinical Services, M. Patricia Cook, RN, MBA, EdD, is pleased to announce that Stephens Memorial Hospital (SMH) Registered Nurse Henry Raymond, RN recently received his Progressive Care Certified Nurse Certification (PCCN).
PCCN specialty certification was introduced in 2004 for nurses providing care to acutely ill adult patients. PCCN is a registered service mark of American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) Certification Corporation and denotes certification in acute care nursing as granted by AACN.
Henry has been a Registered Nurse since 1998 and has worked in the Stephens Memorial Hospital Intensive Care Unit since 2000. There are only approximately 10 other individuals in the state of Maine that has achieved this certification.
Anita Day, Med/Surg and ICU Nurse Director shares, “The certification process begins months before the actual exam is taken. Henry has put in a great deal of time studying to meet the rigorous demands of this exam. Certification is an acknowledgement of his dedication to achieving the next level of competence. For our patients it means they can be assured that the RN caring for them has made it a priority to achieve the highest levels in their selected area of practice.”
