The Chamber Beat
The 37th Annual Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade, the largest in the state of Maine will kick off Saturday, November 24, at 11 a.m. at the head of Main Street in Norway right next to Ari's Pizza and across from the Advertiser and continues to Market Square in South Paris.
The parade will feature the return of the New London Submarine School of the United States Navy’s Silver Dolphins precision rifle team, Wreaths Across America, Slugger from the Portland Sea Dogs, the Enchanted Acres Belgian Horse and Wagon Team, the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School and Middle School Bands, the Maine Army National Guard, fire trucks galore and dozens of floats and of course Santa Clause.
The parade is sponsored by Dunkin Donuts with special help from Oxford Networks and The Oxford Casino.
And the 2nd Annual Festival Of Trees with more than 40 beautifully decorated trees will take place at Four Seasons Function Center on Main Street in South Paris, Saturday, November 24, from 9:30 a.m., to 8 p.m., and Sunday, November 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Come and buy raffle tickets for a chance to win your favorite tree and enjoy live musical entertainment all weekend as well. And when it isn’t live, wonderful Christmas music will be provided by Oxford Hills Entertainment.
Finally, Santa Claus will be at the Festival of Trees all weekend for pictures with the children and it’s free, just bring your own camera. The Festival of Trees is sponsored by The Oxford Casino. For more information go online at www.oxfordhillsmaine.com or call the office at 743-2281.
