Workshop set on travel
BETHEL — The Western Maine Economic Development Council, River Valley Chamber of Commerce, Fryeburg Business Association, Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce, Oxford Hills Chamber of Commerce, Greater Bridgton-Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce, Maine Woods Consortium and Maine Office of Tourism are offering a free workshop on creating itineraries and packages on Tuesday, October 30, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Bethel Inn.
World-wide travel trends show that travelers are gravitating toward experiential holidays rather than the unorganized collection of products and services that typified travel in the past.
The benefits to participating businesses in being part of a package and/or itinerary include much greater market exposure and the potential for enhanced revenue than if they operated independently.
The workshop presenter is Margaret Hoffman, Development Project Officer for the Maine Office of Tourism. Margaret has a wealth of experience in program and event planning, marketing and retail operations.
Pre-registration for this workshop is required. Please contact Mia Purcell if you are interested in attending at mpurcell@community-concepts.org or 739-6543. Sign up today!
