Workplace Delegation workshop offered at CMCC

AUBURN — The Corporate and Community Services department at Central Maine Community College is offering Workplace Delegation. This workshop will be held Wednesday, October 24 from 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Delegating is an essential skill to have in the workplace but its impact on day-to-day business often goes unnoticed.

Through clear concise communication, a supervisor or manager can bring value to their organization by assigning responsibilities to others who can successfully carry out these duties to completion.

So how do you do it? How do you get better at it? The practice of delegation is composed of commonsense skills from project management, communication, supervision and negotiation.

The process and the actions required are known to us, but we often haven’t put them together in the particular context that makes delegation work properly.

This highly engaging workshop provides information, discussion and practice in greatly improving this essential workplace skill.

Registration for this course is open and ongoing, however space is limited. The cost for the course is $89 and includes all materials.

For more information or to register, please contact Central Maine Community College Corporate & Community Services Department at 755-5280 or 1-800-891-2002, opt. 7, e-mail training@cmcc.edu or visit www.cmcc.edu/training.

Deadline for registration is October 22.
