Oxford Casino employee recognition
OXFORD — The Oxford Casino announced recently that it recognized several employees at a luncheon banquet. Oxford Casino aims to praise the efforts of team members who share positive guest and co-team member relations, exhibit charismatic leadership, genuine friendliness/courtesy and for exceeding expectations.
Eleven finial nominees were celebrated along with friends, family and co-team members during the event held at the Oxford Grill, Oxford Casino. Seven Team Members were selected as nominees for Team Member of the Month for July, and four salaried personnel were nominated for Salaried Team Member of the second quarter.
The luncheon included a special five-course menu, including Native Maine Lobster and decadent Sesame Encrusted Tuna. Nominators and managers of the finalist offered kind words of recognition; smiles and laughs were shared in great company. All team members were honored with cash prizes and plaques/awards made by Lake Region Awards, Norway.
The celebration’s fine décor and florals were designed in collaboration with Littlefield’s Florist, South Paris. Oxford Casino looks forward to hosting monthly Team Member Recognition Luncheons going forward, which is in addition to their current recognition programs.
The casino, now exceeding 400 Team Members, has a strong, dedicated staff, so many of which are deserving of recognition! The nominees, as well as winners are as follows:
Salaried for second quarter nominees included Scott Smith of South Paris, Charles Beale of Rumford, Catherine Wilson of Hope (winner) and Sandy Martin of Albany Township.
July Team Member of the Month nominees included Kevin Shelton of Mexico, Tyler Russell of Buckfield, Matthew Witham of Oxford, Kevin Mitchell of Lewiston (winner), Cheryl Haley of Auburn, Faith Gittings of Oxford and William Botelho of Naples.
“This is our very first employee recognition event and it is very gratifying to recognize individual team members' efforts and contributions,” says Jack Sours, vice president and general manager of Oxford Casino. “All our team members are committed to outstanding customer service and delivering the very best gaming entertainment experience for our guest as possible.”
