NORWAY — Norway Savings Bank is pleased to announce that it has been recognized by Healthy Oxford Hills and the Maine Governor’s Council on Physical Activity for its efforts in employee health and wellness.

On May 31, Norway Savings Bank was presented the “Work Healthy! Gold Recognition Award” from Healthy Oxford Hills. The “Gold” level designation is determined by three factors including implementing a tobacco-free workplace, promoting healthy eating habits and encouraging physical activity both in and out of the workplace.

Norway Savings has also been acknowledged by Healthy Oxford Hills as a Healthy Spark in the community for being an inspiring partner in promoting health and wellness.

In addition, Norway Savings Bank has been recognized by the Maine Governor’s Council on Physical Activity for the runner-up in Maine’s Medium Company Award. Scoring for the award was driven by a rigorous set of criteria based on physical activity and fitness along with creativity, affordability and health education for employees.
