SMH welcomes four physicians

NORWAY — Timothy A. Churchill, president and chief executive officer of Western Maine Health is proud to announce the addition of four new physicians to the highly qualified team of providers at Stephens Memorial Hospital. These physicians will help the continued effort to improve access to patient care.

Alyssa Paetau, MD was welcomed at Western Maine Surgery in August. Dr. Paetau received her medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine and completed her surgical residency at the Mayo Clinic. Dr. Paetau joins Robert Neilson, DO and Robert Kahn, MD in providing excellent care to the patients of Western Maine Surgery.

Michael Mohseni, MD joined Stephens Memorial Hospital as the Emergency Services Director in August. Dr. Mohseni received his medical degree and completed his emergency medicine residency at the Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine. Dr. Mohseni joins a dedicated staff of physicians who provide 24/7 service in the SMH Emergency Department. Dr. Mohseni and his wife, Dr. Paetau, recently relocated to Maine from Florida.

Mark Klemperer, MD joined Western Maine OB/Gyn in June. Dr. Klemperer received his medical degree at St. George's University School of Medicine and completed his obstetrics and gynecology residency at The Brooklyn Hospital. Dr. Klemperer joins Gregory Hardy, MD and Carolyn Costanzi, MD in providing obstetrical and gynecological services to the women in the communities they serve.

Mary Jo Laniewski, DO joined the Stephens Memorial Hospital Emergency Department in June. Dr. Laniewski received her Doctor of Osteopathy at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Emergency Medicine Residency at Geisinger Medical Center.
