OHIM gets excellence award

NORWAY — Oxford Hills Internal Medicine, an affiliate of the Western Maine Health system, was recently honored by Beacon Hospice for their staff’s commitment to excellence in end-of-life care.

The award was presented on July 16 by Patricia Cusack, area Vice President of Beacon Hospice, at a special ceremony recognizing the professional contributions of the Oxford Hills Internal Medicine team to caring for the terminally ill.

Oxford Hills Internal Medicine was nominated for the award because of their demonstrated ability, expertise, and performance in:

• Professional and collaborative partnership with Beacon,

• Commitment to continuing education,

• Compassionate assessment of patients and

• Advocating for quality end of life care.
