Google to host free seminar to help businesses get on-line

PORTLAND — On Friday, July 27 Google will host a free event for small business owners to kick off its Maine Get Your Business Online program. The program will be held at the Portland Regency Hotel & Spa in Portland. Business owners can visit www.MaineGetOnline.com to register to attend the event or learn more about this free, year-long program.

Small business owners across the state are invited to attend the event to learn an easy and fast way to get a website and get more visibility on-line, where the majority of consumers are going to find goods and services. Google is partnering with Intuit to provide its popular Intuit Websites offerings for free, including an easy-to-build website, a customized domain name and web-hosting for one year.

For the next year, participating Maine businesses can go to www.MaineGetOnline.com to get a free website as well as free tools, training and resources to help their business succeed on-line.

The Portland Regency Hotel & Spa is located at 20 Milk Street in Portland.
