Welding program for dislocated workers

MEXICO — Region 9 Adult Education and the Rumford Career Center are teaming up to provide a welding class this summer for individuals who are laid off and eligible for unemployment benefits, or have exhausted their unemployment benefits.

 The program will run from late June through August and prepare individuals to take the Welding I Certification exam. Students will learn all the aspects of welding needed to pass the certification test. The class will meet on Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays at Region 9 in Mexico during the day.
