Clark earns certification

NORWAY — Barbara Allen, vice president of Community Relations and Development, is pleased to announce that Deborah Clark, librarian at Stephens Memorial Hospital, has recently achieved membership in the Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP) at the Distinguished Level.

AHIP is the Medical Library Association’s peer reviewed professional development and career recognition credentialing program. AHIP promotes lifelong learning and exemplary professional performance by recognizing achievements in continuing education, teaching, publishing, research and other contributions to the profession.

The Distinguished Level credential denotes the highest standards of professional competency and achievement in the field of health care information. AHIP members must renew every five years to maintain the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully support the institution’s mission and goals.

The library at SMH is open Monday through Friday 9 a.m.–4 p.m. In addition to supporting the clinical staff at Stephens Memorial Hospital, the library is also here to support patients and the community by providing valuable information so that they can make informed healthcare decisions and healthy lifestyle choices.
