Local author writes book

NORWAY — Norway author Jodie Sampson has just self-published her first book.

"Writing was always an outlet for me," said Sampson. "It was a way to express feelings that I kept hidden from others. Following an abusive marriage, I divorced and began a new chapter in my life."

Sampson said she would fantasize about how much she would love to be with a famous rock musician and how amazing her life would be.

"I figured if I couldn’t find the perfect relationship, then I would write one," she explained. So she did.

"Wishing On An Irish Star," has its main character based on Sampson.

Sampson will be signing her book at The Diva Mall at Lost Valley Ski Resort in Auburn, tonight, November 8 from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
