Community show in Buckfield

BUCKFIELD — Tricky Britches, a high-energy string band hailing from Portland, playing heel-stomping old-time fiddle tunes, classic bluegrass, country, and folk rock will perform at a free all-ages community show on Sunday, October 14 from 4-5:30 p.m. at Buckfield Jr./Sr. High School.

The event, sponsored by the Nezinscot Valley Music Boosters, will also feature the third annual Nezinscot Valley Chili and Chowder Cook-off, where for $5, you can taste all the chilis or chowders and cast your vote for the best. Complimentary cornbread and water is included.

Proceeds from this event benefit the Nezinscot Valley Music Boosters, a nonprofit organization supporting music and the performing arts at Hartford-Sumner Elementary and Buckfield Jr./Sr. High School.
