FRYEBURG — The Leura Hill Eastman Performing Arts Center will broadcast live via satellite and show onscreen the National Theatre of London’s production of "The Last of the Haussmans" on Thursday, October 11 at 2 p.m. Later that evening at 7 p.m. will be an encore screening.

Tickets are $18 for adults, $15 for seniors (65+) and $10 for students (18-) and may be purchased at the Box Office by calling 935-9232 or on-line at www.fryeburgacademy.org/pac. Group discounts are available to parties of 10 or more. The theater is located at 18 Bradley Street on the campus of Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg. Parking is free.

National Theatre Live continues its fourth season with "The Last of the Haussmans," a new play by Stephen Beresford, given 4 stars by the Daily Express, Daily Mail, Evening Standard, Financial Times, Independent on Sunday, Sunday Express and The Times.

The play examines the fate of the revolutionary generation and offers a funny, touching and at times savage portrait of a family full of longing that’s losing its grip.

Anarchic, feisty but growing old, high society drop-out Judy Haussman remains in spirit with the Ashrams of the 1960s while holding court in her dilapidated Art Deco house on the Devon coast.

After an operation, she’s joined by wayward offspring Nick and Libby, sharp-eyed granddaughter Summer, local doctor Peter, and Daniel, a troubled teenager who makes use of the family’s crumbling swimming pool.

Together they share a few sweltering months as they alternately cling to and flee this louche and chaotic world of all-day drinking, infatuations, long-held resentments, free love and failure.

National Theatre Live is an initiative by the UK’s National Theatre to broadcast live performances onto cinema screens around the world.

Since its first season, which began in June 2009 with the acclaimed production of "Phédre" starring Helen Mirren, more than 750,000 people have now experienced the National’s work on movie screens worldwide. For more information about NT Live visit http://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk.
