“Pay it Forward”

To the Editor:

I would like to thank everyone who donated one way or another to our Thanksgiving dinner in memory of Kenneth Verrill.

Ken was a generous giver and you helped us to carry out another event that he had planned on doing. Our family would not have been able to carry this out without all you wonderful people. We raised $1,158. What a great feeling to be able to give back. The food that was left over from our dinner was packaged and taken to Lewiston to St. Martin’s Homeless Shelter where it was fed to others.

To all the friends and family who donated, from the bottom of my heart I thank you for making this a wonderful “pay it forward.”

To all of you who gave up your family meals to spend it with us, we thank you more than you will ever know. Hope to see you all next year, and when you get a chance to “pay it forward” do it. It’s a great feeling.

If I forgot anyone, this big thank you is for you.

Next year’s dinner will be held at the Masonic Lodge on Temple Street in Norway, where the money will go to a scholarship.
