Seeking information

I was wondering if you could assist the Mechanic Falls Historical Society.

We received this letter from Kevin Gallagher who would like information about his grandfather, Kenneth Welch of Mechanic Falls.

I am writing to you in regards to my Grandfather Kenneth Welch and his Barber Shop.

He and my Grandmother Barbara and Mother lived in Mechanic Falls approximately from 1925 to to his death 1990. From the information that I have uncovered, his shop, "Ken's Barber Shop," was located on Main St.  and was a fixture in town for close to 50 years. Through the years I guess things have just gone on, and nothing had ever been put aside in remembrance of him or his shop. I am his youngest grandchild and do not want his memories to go for not.
