In support of Bruce Poliquin

To the Editor:

Of the two pro-life candidates, which can beat Angus King?

In the Republican primary on June 12, there are two pro-life candidates to choose from: Maine State Treasurer Bruce Poliquin and Maine State Senator Debra Plowman. While there is another who claims to be pro-life, I have been unable to verify a history of his being pro-life.

Of the two, ChristianPatriot.com and MaineRighttoLife.Org are supporting Treasurer Bruce Poliquin.

But why Bruce? After all Senator Plowman is also Pro-Life.

The bottom line is whoever we Republicans nominate must be able to beat former Governor Angus King. Whoever we nominate must have the organization, the financial support, the name recognition and the support of the Governor to garner the 37%+ votes to beat pro-abortion Angus King in November.

In my opinion the other pro-life candidate cannot do that. Only State Treasurer Bruce Poliquin has the organization and the name recognition and experience to beat Angus King in the general election in November.

Furthermore, Bruce sat in my living room for three hours answering every question asked him by four pastors, including a former director of the Maine Christian Civic League, one of the most pro-life doctors in the state, and many of their wives. I cannot strongly enough urge you to go vote for Bruce Poliquin in the Republican primary on Tuesday, June 12.
