Fourteen people braved the hatching black flies to help pick up litter and rake at Lake Pennesseewassee Park during our annual Spring Clean Up. The volunteers represented themselves, New Balance, Cub Scout Pack 130, Don's Redemption, Oxford Hills Boosters, Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, Healthy Oxford Hills, Weston Chandler Funeral Home, Norway Fire Department and the Norway Recreation Commission.

A specific thank you to Jason, Blaine, Anne and Gwen Cyr, Terry and Adrianna Twitchell, Breton Pinkham, Liz Smith, Heather and Cassidy Macissac, Kelsey Hutchins, Gene Benner, and Chris Davis. And thank you to the Norway Fire Department for supplying water and Ari's for their discount coupons for Pizza.

The Lake Penneseewassee Park Clean Up was sponsored by the Norway Parks & Recreation Department as a joint effort with the Art Gouin Street Clean Up of the Town of Norway.

Also thank you to Ellen Benner for offering to adopt the Starbird Garden at the corner of Lake Road and Crockett Ridge Road for the summer.
