Good friends and neighbors

To the Editor:

I would like to thank, from the bottom of my heart, all the people who gave aid, assistance and moral support when I had an accident on Route 26 on January 31. I was not seriously hurt - just some bruises. My dogs were all OK. The car was totalled but was replaceable.

It was a blessing that there were firemen, policemen, EMTs, and people who just happened to be there at the "wrong" time - all there before I could get the ignition turned off or get out of the car. They sorted me and the other driver out, sent us to the Emergency Room, called the right tow trucks and finally left a note for me at the hospital as to who had done what and where. Thank you all for all that you did.

A very special thanks to those neighbors who interrupted their dinners and went out on a cold dark night to corral my dogs and get them all safely home, rescue my groceries and not only take them home for me and put them away.

You all know who you are and I am honored to be able to call you friends.
