Paul Eugene Snow is being extradited to Oklahoma

STATE – A former Oxford Hills man, convicted of setting fire to an ex-girlfriend's home, is being extradited to Oklahoma on sexual assault charges.

Paul Eugene Snow, 44, was arrested November 30 at the Dover Foxcroft, he shared with his wife. He was taken into custody on a warrant issued by authorities in Purcell, OK, reported the Bangor Daily News.

Snow is currently being held, without eligibility to be released on bail, at the Piscataquis County Jail, in Dover Foxcroft, while awaiting extradition to Oklahoma.

Snow had been arrested here in Maine, in 2003, after being accused of setting fire to his ex-wife's home in Stowe. A plea-bargain was worked out between the district attorney and Snow's attorney, the year after his arrest. He pled guilty the following year, to aggravated criminal mischief, and the arson charge was dropped.

After he pled guilty, to the charge here in Maine, Snow was sentenced to serve one year in prison, all suspended, and one year on probation, which he completed satisfactorily.
