Charged with Gross Sexual assault - Jaime Rodriguez, 35, of South Paris.

PARIS - A 35-year-old Paris man was arrested November 25, and charged with gross sexual assault, a class "A" felony.

Paris Police Officer Zane Loper made the arrest of Jaime Rodriguez at 1:30 a.m. Thanksgiving Day, on High Street, South Paris.

According to Oxford County Jail records, Rodriguez lives at 362 High Street. Citing an investigation still underway, the police would not say if his residence was where the offense allegedly took place, nor indicate if the victim was a child or an adult, male or female.

Rodriguez was taken to the Oxford County Jail and detained there, with bail set at $25,000 cash, which he was not immediately able to post. If released, it will be under the condition that he have no direct or indirect contact with the victim.
