NORWAY — Norway police responded to a call on Packard Avenue on a report that vandals had targeted the house of a local resident with eggs and a small, makeshift explosive.
Officer Robert Federico II responded to the call at 9:50 a.m on Monday, after Andrea Burns of Norway called in to report that she had awoken to discover eggs stuck to the side of her house, her screen door torn, and a large plastic bottle that had been blown apart.
Burns stated to the police officer that this was not the first incident of that nature to take place at her home. It had also happened two weeks earlier.
According to an incident report, Burns heard a loud noise outside her house just after midnight on Sunday, May 22. Federico attributed the noise to the blown plastic bottle, which had a bluish liquid inside. According to the report, Federico theorized that the vandals had used two separate household items to cause the bottle to explode near Burns' house.
