LOCKE MILLS - On November 18, the Jackson-Silver Post #68 and the Mundt-Allen Post #81 held a joint Boys’ and Girls’ State Banquet at the Legion Hall in Locke Mills. Following a delicious meal, Unit President Evanna Grover introduced Jean Lawrence and Victoria Forkus, who attended Girls’ State and Commander Wayne Hakala introduced Troy Ashcroft, who attended Boys’ State.

Unit #81 President Jeri Greenwell introduced Rose Wright, Grace Stover, and Kathryn Stover. All three girls attended Girls State. Absent was Samantha Tibbetts.

After introductions each student spoke briefly about how much they learned and were glad they all participated in Boys’ State and Girls’ State.

Also present were Post #81 Commander Bob McCartney and Paul L’Heureux, Past Department Commander and National Executive Committee Alternate.
