NORWAY – Stephens Memorial Hospital kicked off the holiday season on Wednesday evening, December 1, with the annual lighting of the Christmas Tree. A jovial crowd enjoyed the festivities and lighting outside before retiring inside for hot cocoa and refreshments.

Gene Benner, President of the Board of Trustees, and Andrea Burns, Chair of the Stephens Community Healthcare Foundation Community Relations and Development Committee, welcomed the group. Jennifer St. Pierre serenaded the crowd with several seasonal songs, and following the lighting of the tree, led in the traditional singing of “Silent Night.”

Western Maine Health President and CEO Timothy Churchill closed the program with best wishes to everyone for a happy, healthy holiday season.
