Holiday gift packages filled with Maine products

NORWAY - Shoppers at the Oxford Hills Food Collaborative Store last week were greeted with flowing holiday ribbons of seasonal colors being tied into beautiful ribbons. Storm Coleman, community volunteer, generously devoted time to put together gift packages that will be for sale at the Collaborative farm market store and on its virtual website. Each package has an agenda that will fill the unique need for someone special this holiday season. The packages support many good causes and farms; the pine gift crates come from The Nezinscot Guild in Turner, who “Provide employment to people with developmental disabilities, autism, mental illness and traumatic brain injuries, in a successful small business."

The items that fill these wonderful boxes come from Maine farmers that have added value to some of their garden products, these extra features go beyond the standard expectations and provide something “more”; gifts from the garden. These Maine product gift baskets make a wonderful gift any time of the year but are especially welcome around the holidays. If you don’t know what to give someone or you're short on time, keep these in mind. Almost everyone loves and appreciates the gift of food. The gift baskets feature high quality gourmet foods, sweet treats, and traditional preserves.

Shoppers are also welcome to create their own gift packages; the store has pine boxes for sale with wrapping and ribbons available to add the finishing touches to your personalized gift.

The Oxford Hills Food Collaborative has a raffle drawing for a $35 gift basket that is filled with Maine products. Tickets are on sale at the Collaborative Farm Market Store. One dollar buys one ticket; $5 buys you eight chances to win. The winning ticket will be drawn on Wednesday, December 22 at 4 p.m.
