Guaranteed Success book signing set

BOOK SIGNING – Marrae Kimball, author of Guaranteed Success for Grade School; 50 Easy Things You Can Do Today! is having a book signing at Books N Things in Norway. The 10-year-old author will be at the book store on March 5, from 11 to 1.

NORWAY – Books N Things on Main Street will be hosting a book signing by young author, Marrae Kimball.

Marrae has recently written a book called Guaranteed Success for Grade School; 50 Easy Things You Can Do Today! The book helps teach children how to share their feelings with others, knowing the difference between tattling and telling, being a good sport, respecting differences and more.

The young author wrote this simple book to help students, parents and teachers how to achieve grade-school success. Every other page contains a simple, yet important lesson, with explanations and examples on how to become a better student and overall person.

According to Marrae, children love to succeed in school and their faces light up with pride when being praised…yet the opposite is true as well.

“If children aren’t reminded of their manners, they often get in trouble, which can lead to embarrassment and sadness,” she said. “And when they receive positive feedback, they want to continue to do good.”

“So I put together what I think are the most important things that kids should know,” she added. “To help them.”

The young author doesn’t feel that children behave badly on purpose.

“Some boys don't know that they should take their baseball hats off inside,” explained Marrae. “And some kids don't know that you should let others exit a room or an elevator first. Because if you don't ride an elevator very much, how would you know?”

Marrae Kimball is an honor student and attends the Guy E. Rowe Elementary. She loves helping others and recently donated half of her book earnings to a local animal shelter.

Marrae plays the piano, viola, guitar and enjoys painting, fishing, archery, sailing, rock climbing, roller-coasters and spending time with her family and friends.
