Harrison library offers knitting class

HARRISON - Harrison Village Library will offer a class for beginning knitters ages nine to 17 starting Monday, December 6 at 3:30 p.m. Donnamarie Martinsen of Harmony Farm in Harrison will instruct kids on the basics of knitting and has kindly donated the supplies as well. As an incentive, children who complete the starter project, an earwarmer, may keep the knitting needles. The class will be offered December 6, 13 and 20 from 3:30-5 p.m., and may continue after Christmas if there is enough interest. Class size is limited to 10; please call the library at 583-2970 to reserve your place.

Also on December 6, the newly-created Home School Support Group will meet. Come meet other homeschooling parents, get and give support, and exchange ideas and advice. (Adults only, please.) This meeting will be at 6 p.m. If you are interested in joining the group but cannot attend, please call the library and they will advise you of the next meeting.
