Chorus to sing at library
BRYANT POND – Whitman Memorial Library thanks Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and Laurie Winsor for the interesting and informative presentation on the programs and services provided by that agency. Laurie talked about in-home health care, hospice and supportive services. The library is keeping a packet of the brochures; they will be available to those attending the program or to anyone who missed the program, but has questions or interest in finding out more.
Laurie also presented the library with the book, "My Mother Your Mother, the Compassionate Approach to Caring for Your Aging Loved One," by Dennis McCollough MD.
The library also sends thanks to Oxford Educators Association Retired for their donation of Lynne Plourde's book, "One in a Place Called Maine.” The association has taken on a project of donating a Maine author's children's book to all the libraries in Oxford County and they plan to continue it yearly.
Thanks go to two more people, Troy Jordan and Dr. Tere Porter. Troy's beautiful photography and art work have been on display for several months and Tere Porter's excellent photography is up now for the next few months. Don't forget to look at these pictures when you visit the library.
Mark December 9 on your calendar. The program for that day will feature the chorus from Woodstock Elementary School under the direction of Linda Stowell and a Christmas sing along with Susan Glines. Come and join in.
