ALBANY — “Vintage Aprons,” a presentation on the history of aprons, will be held Friday, August 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Albany Town House in Albany. Admission is $5 for adults and $2 for children under 12. Wear and share an old apron. There will be a vintage style apron raffle. CANTON — A chicken pie supper and ticket auction will be held on Saturday, August 13, at the Canton Municipal Building. The auction viewing opens at 4 p.m. and the supper is from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children. The supper includes chicken pie, potato, vegetables, cranberry sauce, rolls, beverages and assorted desserts.

BETHEL — The West Parish Congregational Church on Church Street in Bethel is holding an auction at 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 6. OXFORD — The last flea market of the season will be held on Saturday, August 27, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Oxford Hills Assembly of God at 298 Coldwater Brook Road in Oxford, rain or shine. NEW GLOUCESTER — On Saturday, August 20 Sabbathday Lake Grange in New Gloucester will be holding a craft fair and sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. They are looking for anyone interested in renting a table at the sale. The cost is $10 for a six-foot table. The hall is located at 370 Sabbathday Road and is handicap accessible. CENTER LOVELL — The Thrift Shop of the Lovell United Church of Christ on Route 5 will hold its $1 a Bag Sale August 6-20.
The shop will be closed August 22-26 for VBS and August 29 and 31 for work days. There will be a grand reopening on September 3 with fall clothing. It will be closed on Labor Day, September 5.
Shop hours are Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
NORWAY — On Friday, August 5, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., the Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main St. in Norway, will hold a mini shore dinner. The menu will include their famous clear meat lobster rolls, chowder, corn on the cob, cole slaw, watermelon, gingerbread and drinks. A hot dog meal will be available for children. This is the sixth in the series of "First Friday Fantastic Family Feasts." The public is invited to join in for a delicious dinner and fellowship. The cost will be $15 for the mini-shore dinner and $3.50 for the hot dog meal. Come early, because these "Fantastic Family Feasts" usually sell out. Take out will be available. Proceeds will benefit the general fund.

MECHANIC FALLS — The Oxford Hills High School Class of 1981 will hold a class reunion on Saturday, August 20, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the Silver Spur in Mechanic Falls. Fish 'n chips
SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will have a fish and chips and chowder supper on Saturday, August 6, at 5:30 p.m. There will be cream of broccoli chowder and fish chowder and cole slaw. SOUTH PARIS — A ham supper and dance will be held on Saturday, August 6, at the South Paris Legion Hall on Church Street. The supper will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. and the dance with the Jones Band will be from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The cost for the supper will be $7 and $5 for the dance.
The Jones Band will also be playing on Saturdays, August 13, 20 and 27, from 7 to 10 p.m. The cost is $5 for adults and the lunch counter will be open.
NORTH WATERFORD — The next dance at the Waterford World's Fairgrounds will be August 6 with the band Monsta from Rumford. The dance starts at 8 p.m. and is a BYOB dance and the charge is $10 per person. The Fairgrounds are located on Irving Green Road in North Waterford just off Route 35 across from Melby's Market. OXFORD — Uptown Cruizahs Car Club show will be held Sunday, August 7, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the New Balance Factory Store on Route 26 in Oxford. This will be held rain or shine. There will be a Chinese auction, with viewing at 8 a.m. and ticket draws starting at 9 a.m. Bring your own chair.
There will be antique vehicles, Mustangs, Corvettes, Crosleys, Camaros, trucks, rat rods, street rods and more as well as street rod inspections. There will also be a parts swap and trade for vehicles and motorcycles, music, door prizes, 50/50 raffle and fun for the whole family. Proceeds benefit local charities.
