FRYEBURG — A concert supper will be held Tuesday, July 19, at 5 p.m. at the Fryeburg New Church on 12 Oxford Street in Fryeburg. The cost will be $8 for adults and $5 for children. The supper will include casseroles, salads, baked beans, rolls, desserts and beverages. The concert program with the Don Campbell Trio program will start at 7 p.m. at Bradley Park.
NEW GLOUCESTER — On Saturday, July 16, Sabbathday Lake Grange in New Gloucester will be holding an indoor yard and craft sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. They are looking for anyone interested in renting a table at these sales. The cost is $10 for a six-foot table. The hall is located at 370 Sabbathday Road and is handicap accessible. SOUTH PARIS — A rain or shine indoor/outdoor lawn sale will take place on Saturday, July 16, from 8 a.m. to noon at Trinity Lutheran Church on 34 Buckfield Road in South Paris. There is sure to be something to please everyone. A large array of household items, clothing, gifts, gadgets and more, both old and new, will be on sale. There will be a special Christmas in July sale featuring both gifts and decorations. Hot dogs and homemade ice cream will also be available. Come and enjoy.
LOCKE MILLS — A supper dance will be held at the American Legion Hall in Locke Mills on Tuesday, July 12, from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Doors open at 4 p.m. Music will be provided by the Wally Jones Band. Supper will include bbq chicken, potato salad, macaroni salad, pasta salad, baked beans and pies. Cost is $10 for adults and $3 for children. Come and enjoy.
NORWAY — On Thursday, July 7, from 2 to 6 p.m. the Norway Farmers’ Market will be held behind Fare Share Market on Main Street. An artisan fair with guests will bring a variety of local products and regular vendors bring baked goods, perennials, fish, vegetables and fruits. Local spinners will demonstrate their skills at making yarn.
BUCKFIELD — The Buckfield American Legion Auxiliary 58 and American Legion Post 58 will hold their annual strawberry festival and yard and plant sale on Saturday, July 9, starting at 10 a.m. at the Legion Hall on Morrill Street in Buckfield. There will also be a food sale and white elephant table.
WATERFORD — The Waterford Library will welcome residents and visitors at an open house on Sunday, July 31 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in conjunction with Music Sunday at the Waterford Congregational Church and the Waterford Historical Society's summer show. Visitors will have an opportunity to see the recent renovations and changes in the library and view displays featuring the renovation project.
A light lunch will be available for purchase on the library lawn.
The library is a Colonial Revival style building designed by noted Portland architect John Calvin Stevens and his son John Howard Stevens. This firm was also responsible for the rebuilding of the second story after a fire in 1937. The library is part of the Waterford Flats Historic District.
POLAND — Join in for an open house to welcome Dana K. Lee on Saturday, July 16, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Poland Community Church. Refreshments will be served.
SOUTH PARIS — Paris Pubic Library is adding a new children's program this summer. Silly Science Afternoons will take place on Wednesdays from June 22 to August 17. Those interested in participating may show up anytime between noon and 4 p.m. The following is a list of planned activities:
