BRIDGTON — The Bridgton Public Library will hold its annual Spaghetti Feast on Sunday, July 3 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Stevens Brook Elementary School in downtown Bridgton. The menu includes spaghetti with meat and meatless sauce, fresh locally-grown greens, bread, coffee, lemonade, sun tea, ice cream and lots of homemade desserts.
Tickets are available at the door and cost $8 for adults and $4 for children three to 10. Children under three are free. Highchairs are available.
The supper is held just before the Bridgton Community Band Concert and Fireworks which are also at the Stevens Brook School. All proceeds benefit the library programs.
WEST PARIS — An open house will be held at the Finnish-American Heritage Center on 8 Maple Street in West Paris, every Sunday throughout July and August, with the exception of August 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. This is an opportunity for the whole community to visit the museum or browse the library and gift shop. The coffee pot will be on to welcome one and all. The building is air-conditioned and handicapped accessible.
OXFORD — A flea market will be held on Saturday, July 30, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Oxford Hills Assembly of God at 298 Coldwater Brook Road in Oxford, rain or shine. A snack bar will be available. Tables are for rent for $10. To reserve a table, call Cheryl Gray at 743-5840.
HARRISON — “Around the loop” yard sales will be held on Waterford Road and Depot Street, starting at the head of long Lake on Saturday, July 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
NORWAY — Norway Rehab Summer Evening Concert Series on the Lawn will present Bill Lake on Thursday, June 30 at 6 p.m. This is open to the public; bring your lawn chairs.
OXFORD — Santa Visits Oxford will be having a yard sale on Friday and Saturday, July 22 and 23 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Parts n Pieces on Route 26 in Oxford. Anyone wishing to donate can call Chris Lamb at 539-4674.
BRIDGTON — Bring on the berries. The First Congregational Church, United Church of Christ of Bridgton, will hold its 18th annual Strawberry Breakfast on Saturday, July 2, from 7:30 to 10 a.m. The church is located at 33 South High Street in Bridgton. Indoor and outdoor seating will be available, and everyone is invited to attend.
You won’t want to miss this summertime tradition. Bring your family and friends and feast on a breakfast of pancakes, French toast, homemade biscuits, cereal and ice cream all topped with fresh local strawberries and maple syrup. Cost for adult tickets is $8; tickets for children ages five to 10 are $3 and tickets for children four years old and younger are $2. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
This long-running event is one of the church’s most popular fundraisers and supports its community outreach programs like Jeanette’s Closet, where families in need can find no-cost clothing, and the “Adopt a Child” Christmas program that supplies Christmas gifts to more than 150 children in Bridgton each year.

NORTH WATERFORD — The North Waterford Congregational Church will hold a public supper on Tuesday, July 5, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., including a wide variety of homemade casseroles, salads, and other dishes, as well as the traditional baked beans, and featuring homemade strawberry shortcake for dessert.
The church is located on Five Kezars Road, off Routes 35 and 37, opposite Melby's Market. Public suppers will be held every other Tuesday during July and August. Bring your friends and family.
There will be an old fashioned bean supper at the First Baptist Church of Paris at the top of the hill, Saturday, July 2 at 5 p.m.
There will be baked beans, brown bread, hot dogs, casseroles, salads, desserts and beverages. Cost is $7, adults and $3.50, children of which 10 percent goes to the food pantry.
NORTH LOVELL — A 50th reunion of the closing of the one-room schoolhouse in North Lovell is planned for August 13, from 1 to 5 p.m.
The school is currently the North Lovell Library. Anyone who attended this school is asked to contact Elizabeth at 603-986-2044, Shirley at 890-7771 or Kathleen at 783-9774 by July 20.
