Bake sale, car wash

MECHANIC FALLS — Unit 50 Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a bake sale and car wash on Saturday, June 9, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Post on Elm Street in Mechanic Falls. There will also be white elephant tables.

Seven-mile sale

NORWAY — The Heywood Club is sponsoring its annual seven and a half mile yard sale on Saturday, June 9, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Crockett Ridge in Norway, rain or shine. This will be the largest sale the club has ever had with lots of great merchandise. There will also be more sales in the neighborhood.

Bra fittings

NORWAY — The Women's Imaging Center at Stephens Memorial Hospital is offering professional prosthetic and bra fittings for women on the third Wednesday of every month. For an appointment call the Women's Imaging Center at 743-5993 x6851. Insurances accepted and low cost help is available.

Supper dance

LOCKE MILLS — A Supper Dance will be held on Tuesday, June 12 from 5-9:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall, Gore Rd. in Locke Mills. Music will be provided by the Jones Band. Doors open at 4 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults and $3 for children.

HARRISON — The VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #9328 is sponsoring a public supper at the Harrison VFW located on the Waterford Rd. (Route 35) on Saturday, June 9 from 5-6 p.m. The menu includes homemade baked beans, hot dogs, coleslaw, casseroles, salads, pies and beverages. This supper is a fundraiser for the Ladies Auxiliary. Donations will be accepted.

Meat loaf

SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will be having a paid public supper on Saturday, June 23 at 5:30 p.m. The meal will be meat loaf with mashed potatoes, vegetables, rolls and dessert. The cost will be $7 per person or $25 for an immediate family of more than three.

There will be raffle items following the meal, which will include jams and pies. All proceeds benefit the work of the church, which includes youth camp scholarships and community assistance. For more information, call Bill at 388-2263.
