BUCKFIELD — The Young Lucky Buckaroo Kids 4-H club of Buckfield is seeking donations of bottles. They are raising money to help the kids go to Bryant Pond 4-H camp and learning center this summer. The kids would really like to have the opportunity to experience camp for the first time. Anyone interested can drop off their bottles at Paynes Redemption Center on Paris Hill in South Paris and tell them it is for The Young Lucky Buckaroo Kids 4-H. MECHANIC FALLS — A Texas hold ‘em tournament will be held Friday, May 20 at 6 p.m. at the American Legion Post 150, Elm St. in Mechanic Falls. Buy-in is $30. Payout will depend on how many players; there is a 100 player limit. Food will be available for sale.
WATERFORD — The next meeting of the Waterford Library bridge group will be at the library on Monday, May 23, at 6:30 p.m. No partner is necessary. Players with a basic knowledge of bridge are welcome. The goal is to have fun and learn from each other. For more information call 583-2729. The group will not meet in June, July or August.
CASCO — What's on the menu? How about beans, casseroles, salads and homemade desserts. It's another delicious traditional Saturday night supper at the Casco Village Church United Church of Christ, 941 Meadow Road (Route 121) in Casco Village, and it’s early this month - Saturday, May 21 from 5 to 6 p.m. Join in for the first Saturday night supper of the summer and absolutely the best supper in the area. It's only $7 for adults and $4 for children, and families with small children can eat for $20 max - that includes rolls and beverages. This supper is sponsored by the Membership Committee.
MECHANIC FALLS — The monthly meeting of Concerned Women for America will be held at the home of Jan Pinkham, 11 Bucknam Street in Mechanic Falls, on Friday, May 20, at 3 p.m. All who are interested and concerned about the ethical and moral climate of the state and country are invited to attend as they pray and take action on some of these matters. HEBRON — The Hebron Historical Society will be holding a benefit yard sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, on the Paris Road in Hebron, across from the post office.
On Sunday, May 22, from 4 to 6 p.m. a roast pork dinner will be held at the West Minot Grange Hall. The cost will be $6 and the dinner will be complete with beverages and dessert.
Proceeds from the events will go toward the Hebron Historical Society's building fund.
NORWAY – The annual 7 1/2 mile yard sale on Crockett Ridge, Norway will be held Saturday, June 11, rain or shine, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please call 743-5150 or 743-8030 to leave a message if you are going to participate. Donations for the Heywood Club Sale can be left on the porch anytime between now and the day of the sale. No appliances or clothes and only good clean items. Thank you for the continued support of this fun event.
WATERFORD — An indoor yard sale will be held Saturday, May 21 on Plummer Hill Road in Waterford, next door to the church, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. There will be something for everyone, with new items coming in weekly. This event benefits the improvement fund.
WEST PARIS — A yard sale will be held on Saturday, May 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hill Top Pools & Spas on Route 26 in West Paris. Proceeds will benefit the West Paris Fire Auxiliary.

OXFORD — The Oxford Hills Assembly of God, 298 Coldwater Brook Road in Oxford, is holding a yard sale on Saturday, May 28, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine. A snack bar will be available. To rent a table for $15 or to rent a space for $10 and bring your own table, call Cheryl Gray at 743-5840.
PARIS — The First Baptist Church of Paris will be holding a jumble sale on Saturday, May 21, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church at the top of Paris Hill on the Common. Coffee and bake sale items will also be available. A jumble sale is a cross between a rummage sale and a yard sale — there’s loads of great stuff. There will be everything from clothing for everyone to housewares, jewelry, estate items, craft materials, lots of one-owner books in great condition, toys, furniture and fun stuff. There’s something here for everyone.
NAPLES — The Lake Region High School lacrosse team will host its third annual pancake breakfast on Saturday, May 21, from 7-11 a.m. at Songo Locks Elementary School in Naples. On the menu you'll find pancakes, bacon, fruit, juice, milk and coffee. The cost is $5/person and $20 for a family. Tickets are available from team members and at Hayes True Value Hardware in Bridgton. Bring a few extra dollars and bid on some wonderful silent auction items including a handcrafted wooden deck cooler, photography gift certificate and furnace cleaning service.
SOUTH PARIS — REACH is having a fundraiser yard sale on Friday and Saturday, May 27 and 28, and June 3 and 4, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the REACH office, 1 E. Main St., S. Paris (across from Market Square). Donated items are being accepted now at the REACH office. All types of goods are welcome, such as toys, household items, furniture, dishes, garden supplies, tools, etc. No electronic equipment, please. Proceeds will benefit REACH programs. WATERFORD — A Socrates Café gathering will be held at the Waterford Library on Monday, June 6, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Meetings are held on the first Monday of each month. The group offers a forum to discuss current topics and ideas in a warm, friendly atmosphere, where divergent views will be welcome.
