HARTFORD — A benefit supper for the Dunham family will be held Saturday, May 21, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria at the Hartford-Sumner Elementary School. Donations only. This is being sponsored by the Sumner Fire Auxiliary, Sumner Mothers’ Club and Mt. Tom Snowmobile Club to help the Dunham family after their tragic fire.

RUMFORD — A chicken bbq will be held at Blazing Star Lodge on Route 232 in Rumford Corner on Saturday, June 4 at 5 p.m. The menu will include mashed potato, chicken, stuffing, green beans, macaroni salad, cranberry sauce, cole slaw, bread, punch, coffee and pie. NORWAY — There will be a meeting of the Diabetes Support Group at Stephens Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, May 18 from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Board Room at Stephens Memorial Hospital.
BRYANT POND — A Yankee pot roast supper will be held Saturday, May 28, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Masonic building on Main Street, Route 26, in Bryant Pond. The cost will be $7 for adults and $3 for children under five. The menu includes pot roast, mashed potatoes, peas, gravy, dinner rolls, homemade pies, bread pudding, coffee and punch.
BUCKFIELD — The Masonic Lodge of Buckfield will hold a huge indoor yard sale, rain or shine, on Saturday, May 21, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Lunch will be available.
All proceeds will go to the Evening Star Lodge building fund.
AUBURN — Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre is announcing auditions for “Jekyll & Hyde,” the musical, calling for a huge cast, adults only please, on Sunday, May 22, and Monday, May 23, both days at 6 p.m. at Great Falls Performing Art Center, 30 Academy St. in Auburn.

AUBURN — Plans are underway for the Oxford Hills High School Class of 1991 20th Class Reunion, to be held the weekend of August 12 and 13. There will be a Friday night social (location TBA) and a Saturday evening dinner and dancing at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn.

HARRISON — The VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #9328 is offering a public supper at the Harrison VFW, located on the Waterford Rd. (Rt. 35), on Saturday, May 14 from 5-6:30 p.m. The menu includes homemade baked beans, coleslaw, casseroles, salads, pies and beverages. This supper is a fundraiser for the Ladies Auxiliary. OXFORD — The Oxford Assembly of God, 298 Coldwater Brook Road in Oxford, is holding yard sales on May 28, June 25, July 30 and August 27, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., rain or shine. A snack bar will be available. There are a limited number of tables for rent for these yard sales for $15 each or you can rent a space for $10 and bring your own six- to eight-foot table. SOUTH PARIS — The Resistance Ministries, a nonprofit youth ministry, will be having a Chinese auction “Everybody Wins” fundraiser on Saturday, May 14, featuring hundreds of brand new items, at the South Paris Fire Station. All tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets are limited to the first 30 people only and are $25. No tickets will be sold at the door. The doors open at 11 a.m. and the tickets will start to be drawn at noon. All tickets buyers for the auction are guaranteed to win at least eight brand new items and have a chance to win even more. There will be a dollar table, grab bags and a 50/50 raffle. Food will be available for purchase as well.

HARTFORD — The Hartford transfer station, located on Marble Road, will continue to be open on the first and third Saturdays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., throughout the season.
Universal Waste drop off at the Buckfield transfer station will be held Thursday, May 12 from 1 to 6 p.m. for tv’s, computers, printers, etc.
NORTH WATERFORD — The maintenance superintendent, Ron Hill, would like everyone to know that the spring cleanup at the Waterford World’s fairground will begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday, May 15. All the grounds need to be raked and the buildings need to be swept and cleaned. Bring your rake or paintbrush or broom, whatever you would like to do and get some exercise and have some fun with all the members of the Fair as well.
At noon, hamburgers and hot dogs and a drink will be served to all and of course if you would like to bring something to share, it would be most appreciated.

WATERFORD — The Wilkins Community House will hold its monthly Community Potluck Supper on Thursday, May 19 at 6 p.m. All are welcome.
The Community House is located in Waterford Flat on Plummer Hill Road behind the village green next door to the church. The hosts for this supper are Martha Eaton, Sara Stockwell and Steve and Bonney Edwards. This will be the last supper until the Fall. Bring a friend and a dish to share.
NORWAY — St. Catherine’s Youth Ministry is having a rummage sale from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, in the Parish Hall at 32 Paris Street in Norway. A good selection of summer clothing will be available along with odds and ends. The youth use the funds earned for their retreats as well as charity to other teens.

Supper will include four types of homemade beans, hot dogs, cole slaw, bread, beverages and homemade pies, all you can eat. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children under 12.
SOUTH PARIS — A Family Fun Night will be held at McDonald's in South Paris on Monday, May 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. Come have a fun night with the family. There will be games and prizes. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Norway Farm and Little League softball teams.
