Parenting group forms

NORWAY — Do you have daily parenting struggles? Ever wonder if there is a better way? There is! It’s called Active Parenting Now.

Join in for this six-week parenting group for parents of children age five to 12. You will learn how to:

• use discipline techniques;

• communicate with your children;

• teach responsibility, foster independence and encourage self esteem;

• diffuse and handle problems as they come up;

• hold family meetings and

• cope with difficult topics such as drugs, violence and sex.

The course uses video, activities and group discussions and will be held Wednesdays, May 16, 23 and 30 and June 6, 13 and 20 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Norway Memorial Library, Main St. in Norway.
