Smile Fund raising money

WEST PARIS — Healthy smiles are important to all people regardless of age, gender or economic standing. The Smile Fund, established nine years ago by the West Paris Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, is dedicated to helping adults in the SAD 44 area who are in need of restorative dental work.

This dental work is expensive and the fund is for helping those for whom financial resources are not available. Please contact Reverend Virginia Rickman at 824-0550 for further information about the Smile Fund or to submit an application for aid.

All applications are confidential. Approval has just been given to the 47th client.

On Saturday, April 21, there will be an indoor yard sale at the church to raise funds for this project. Spring cleaning is a good time to go through and sort what might be useful for the sale. The sale will be in the church basement from 9 a.m. to noon.

Tools to toys and everything in between will be for sale — something for everyone. There will also be plants available for the gardens. Please stop by. You are sure to find a bargain and your purchase will help a wonderful project. Donations will be accepted on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, April 18, 19 and 20.
