Lovell  dinner

LOVELL — Lovell area residents, come join your neighbors and friends for a spaghetti dinner, compliments of Lovell Neighborhood Watch. Show your appreciation for law enforcement members. This will take place on Saturday, March 26 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Lovell VFW.

Maple breakfast

NORTH WATERFORD — A maple syrup breakfast will be held at the North Waterford Congregational Church on Saturday, March 26 beginning at 8 a.m. There will be pancakes, muffins and fresh maple syrup from the McAllister farm. All proceeds benefit the church.

Services are at 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 27, with Rev. Doretta Colburn speaking. All are welcome.

Yard sale

NORWAY — Spring is in the air. If you find some no longer needed items during your spring cleaning and would be willing to donate them to the Norway-Paris Fish & Game Association for their annual "Whale" of a yard sale, call club president Glenn Huntley at 966-3161 or Fern Bosse at 739-6070 to arrange for drop-off or pick up of your donations.

The club uses the monies from the yard sale for the general funding of the club. The club is building a new club house, making improvements to the shooting ranges, and plans to send 10 local children to the University of Maine 4-H Camp and Learning Center at Bryant Pond Summer Camp. Soup-er Bowl

OXFORD — Oxford Congregational Church on King St. in Oxford is hosting its third annual Soup-er Bowl on Saturday, March 26 from 5-6:30 p.m. Join in for homemade soups, chowders, stews and chili. This is all-you-can eat, with bread, dessert and beverage included. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for kids six to 12 and free for kids under five.

Bingo

GREENWOOD — Spring fever Bingo will be held Friday, April 8, at the Jackson-Silver Post 68 on the Gore Road in Greenwood. Doors open at 4 p.m. and the games start at 6 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Woodstock Veterans’ Honor Roll Expansion Project. Refreshments will be available. Come for a fun evening and support Woodstock’s veterans, past, present and future.

Spring sale

OXFORD — There will be a spring sale on Sunday, March 27, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the community center of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church on 259 Fore Street in Oxford.

Supper dance

LOCKE MILLS — A Supper Dance will be held on Tuesday, April 12 from 5 to 9:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall in Locke Mills. Music will be provided by the Richard Felt Band. A ham supper will be served by the American Legion Auxiliary. Doors are open at 4 p.m. Cost is $10 for adults and $3 for children.

Sugar house

WEST MINOT — West Minot Grange 42 will host the West Minot sugar house on Maple Sunday, March 27. Breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. The menu includes pancakes, bacon, sausage, coffee, juice, maple syrup and maple butter. Come and enjoy.

Art exhibit

EAST WILTON — Western Maine Community Action will host the “Dream, Hope and Grow” art exhibit on Thursday, March 31. Artists from Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford Counties will exhibit at WMCA’s administration office, 20A Church Street in East Wilton.  The opening will be from 5 to 7 p.m. The exhibit will be on display through June.

Starting seeds

HARRISON — Get a jump on the gardening season by attending “Seed Starting with Mark Heidmann” at Harrison Village Library on Monday, March 28 at 6 p.m. Heidmann, the proprietor of Maple Springs Farm in Harrison, will explain the basics of seed starting and answer participants’ questions, shedding a light on what can often be a tricky process. Senior social

HARRISON — Harrison Recreation will present a March Madness senior social at the Harrison fire station on Sunday, March 27 at 12 noon. A roast turkey dinner will be served family style with all the fixings plus yummy desserts, followed by Bingo with prizes and an Easter basket giveaway. This event is for ages 55 and over. Cost is $7 per person for Harrison residents; $9 per person for nonresidents.

Reservations are required; tickets may be purchased at the Harrison Town Office and at the Bridgton Community Center. Open Mic

NORWAY — Norway Open Mic Night, hosted by Vessel Recordings artist Heather Pierson, will be held this Friday, March 25 at the First Universalist Church, 479 Main St. in Norway. Church supper in Sumner

SUMNER — The Congregational Church of East Sumner will have its monthly first Saturday Supper on April 2 at 5:30 p.m. The meal will be a spaghetti dinner with rolls, salad, cooked veggies and desserts.
