Progress Center joins fundraiser

NORWAY — For the 14th consecutive year, Alan Shawn Feinstein will divide $1 million among hunger fighting agencies nationwide using it to help them raise funds this March and April.

The Progress Center is joining this nationwide fundraiser to help fight hunger. Donations and pledges can be made to The Progress Center for the Feinstein Challenge from March 1 to April 30. The more donations and pledges received, the more of the Feinstein challenge money The Progress Center will receive. The million dollars will be divided proportionately with a minimum of $250 and a maximum of $35,000 awarded to participating agencies.

Feinstein’s past annual spring $1 million challenges to fight hunger have raised over $1 billion for over 2000 agencies and houses of worship nationwide helping the needy.

Your donation to The Progress Center for this campaign makes you a partner in the most successful ongoing effort ever to fight hunger. All donations received by TPC for the Feinstein Challenge will go to help with the Community Kitchen project now under construction at The Progress Center. When completed, the Community Kitchen will provide nutritious meals three days a week to the homeless, those in need, the elderly or anyone else who might otherwise need a meal or be in need of fellowship. All that is asked is a small donation from those able to contribute.

Donations can be mailed to The Progress Center, Feinstein Challenge, 35 Cottage Street, Norway, ME 04268. For more information on The Feinstein Challenge or The Progress Center, call Priscilla at 743-8049 ext 266.
