Candidates night set in Poland

POLAND — Signs of spring in Poland: sugar houses, pussy willows and candidates. On, Monday, March 21, from 7 to 9 p.m., Friends of Ricker Library will host a Candidates Night in the Poland town office conference room. Candidates for the offices of RSU Director, Selectperson/Assessor/Overseer of the Poor, and Library Trustee will be presented. There will be an opportunity for questions from the audience. The meeting will be televised and phone-in questions will be allowed as well.

Joseph Parent, Edward Rabasco, George Sanborn and Ervin Walker are seeking three-year positions as RSU 16 Director. Norman Davis, Arthur Dunlap and Stephen Robinson are vying for three-year positions as Selectperson/Assessor/Overseer of the Poor. Nancy Norton, Catherine Tetenman and Sara Willett are asking to be elected to the position of Library Trustee. The town meeting election will be held on Friday, April 1 at the Town Hall. Polls are open from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The business portion of the town meeting will be held on Saturday, April 2 in the Poland Regional High School auditorium. It will convene at 9 a.m.
