Red Cross blood drives set

AREA — The American Red Cross, Northern New England Blood Services Region, will hold blood drives in cities and towns throughout Maine. All eligible and new blood donors are encouraged to give blood. Donors are needed every day to make sure there is an adequate blood supply for patients in need.
The arrival of spring brings with it the feeling of renewal, hope and fresh possibilities. The American Red Cross is asking all eligible donors to share this feeling of renewal and hope with others by donating blood.

Monday, April 4  - Lake Region High School, Naples 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. 

Wednesday, April 20 -  Masonic Hall, Bridgton 1-6 p.m.

Wednesday, April 20 -  Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, South Paris 1-6 p.m.

Thursday, April 21 -  Western Maine Veterans Home, South Paris 2-7 p.m.

Wednesday, April 27 - Vineyard Christian Fellowship, Mechanic Falls 1-6 p.m.

Friday, April 29 - Naples Library, Naples 12-5 p.m.

All presenting donors will receive a coupon for a free regular six-inch sub at any participating Subway® restaurant in Maine during the month of April.

The American Red Cross Donor Center, located at 524 Forest Avenue in Portland, is open for donations Monday through Thursday from 12 noon to 7 p.m.; Fridays from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the first and third Saturday of each month from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Donors are encouraged to call 1-800 RED CROSS or visit on-line at redcrossblood.org to make an appointment or for more information.
