RPC needs votes

NORWAY — Responsible Pet Care sent out its monthly e-news out last week and asked people to vote in two on-line contests. The request worked because it moved up to No. 3 in the state in the Animal Rescue Site's Favorite Animal Shelter. It is now a very real possibility that Responsible Pet Care can win $1,000 if it becomes the No. 1 shelter in the state. It needs people to vote every day and to ask friends to vote.

The Animal Rescue Site's Favorite Animal Shelter contest ends on March 20.  The prize money is either $1,000 or $5,000. Either amount would help RPC tremendously. People can vote once a day at www.theanimalrescuesite.com/clickToGive/shelterchallenge.faces?siteId=3.

The Bangor Savings Bank's Community Matters contest is a voting contest, however you only have to vote one time. Voting is only open to Maine residents. This contest ends on March 11. Vote once and ask friends to vote, too. "Responsible Pet Care" is a write-in vote under Western at www.bangor.com/Why-Bangor-Savings/Supporting-Our-Communities/Community-Matters-More.aspx.
