SeniorsPlus ChocoLArt event set
LEWISTON — SeniorsPlus announces ChocoLArt, a chocolate-tasting event and silent art auction to benefit SeniorsPlus Meals on Wheels and other programs, helping maintain the independence, dignity, and quality of life of older adults and adults with disabilities.
At this second annual fundraising event, guests will sample a variety of chocolate-inspired creations from area restaurants and chefs while browsing the silent auction’s collection of art, pottery, crafts, and jewelry. The afternoon will be emceed by WCSH 6’s Brian Yocono and will also feature the sounds of Three Point Trio, an Auburn jazz band. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available.
ChocoLArt will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2–5 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn. Tickets are $35 and are available on the web at www.seniorsplus.org, by phone at 1-800-427-1241, or in the SeniorsPlus office at 8 Falcon Rd, Lewiston. There is a limited number of presenter slots left open for vendors and artists. Please contact SeniorsPlus for details.
Meals on Wheels, one of the programs ChocoLArt will benefit, not only delivers nutritious meals to isolated older adults, but also provides them a safety check and friendly visit from the driver. Sometimes this is the only human contact they will receive that week.
