AUGUSTA — On Sunday, March 6 at 2 p.m. in the Great Hall at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, 9 Summer Street, Augusta, Helen Neff will present a program on quilts used during the era of the Underground Railroad. Quilts were used to direct the runaway slaves on their journey to freedom. This is a fascinating story and will be accompanied by Caro Kaiser on piano.
This program is of interest to not just quilters but to anyone with an interest in American history. The event is free of charge and handicap accessible. For more information, please call 622-2424.
