Casco Library book sale planned
CASCO — The Casco Public Library is having a huge “Sweetheart of a Deal” Book Sale beginning Sunday, February 6 at 10 a.m. at the library in Casco Village on Rte 121. This will include a bag sale where a large paper bag will be $10 and a small bag will be $5 – bag provided by the library. You can also enter a drawing for a Valentine prize.
The book sale includes an abundance of hardcover fiction and nonfiction titles to choose from, lots of paperbacks and some really nice collectible books that can all be stuffed in your bag(s). This is the time to stock up on those great winter reads as well as some for the beach if summer ever comes again. There are children’s and teen books, self-help and inspiration titles, do-it-yourself, art and many Maine related books along with some classics to revisit.
The book sale continues each day the library is open on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the month of February. New additions will be made as donations come in so stop in often. Proceeds from the sale are used to purchase books, movies and music CDs for the collection and to finance the operation of the library and is a major fundraiser to support the budget for the library each year.
Donations of any size for the sale and to help fund the library are always welcome and greatly appreciated throughout the year. For more information call the library at 627-4541. Please no old encyclopedias, old computer manuals, condensed books, or anything in poor condition.
