NRA basic pistol shooting course offered

OXFORD — An NRA Basic Pistol Shooting Course, sponsored by Western Maine Property Protection, will be held Sunday, February 20 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Lake Thompson Fish & Game in Oxford.

This course teaches the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude for owning and operating a pistol safely. All shooting will take place in the indoor heated shooting range. Class tuition includes all course materials and the use of all firearms and ammunition. Lunch will also be provided. This course meets the State of Maine concealed weapon permit requirements as well as the requirements for obtaining a State of Florida concealed weapon permit. Please - no weapons or live ammunition will be allowed in the classroom.

Cost is $125 per person; deadline to register is February 13. February special - bring a friend and pay only $100 each. Instructors are Joshua White and Alan Coffin.
