Waterford World's Fair events planned
HARRISON — Waterford World's Fair will be having the first public supper of 2011 on Saturday, January 15 at the Harrison United Parish Church from 5 to 6:30 p.m. The menu will be turkey, potato, vegetable, stuffing, cranberry, beverage and dessert and of course homemade pies and all for the price of $8; children under four are free.
On January 16 the next regular fair meeting will be held at the Waterford Town Office at 2 p.m. and everyone is welcome.
January 23 is set for the annual Winter Fun Day at the Highview Farm of Bill and Darcy Winslow on the Leander Harmon Road in Harrison (watch for signs from Route 117).
Events planned will be horse drawn sleigh rides, sliding in the big field in front of the farm, bonfire with a hot dog roast, petting zoo with lots of farm animals- rabbits, five Guernsey cows and one has twin bull calves that were born in July, mini-horses, pigs, chickens, cats and kittens, sheltie dogs and of course the six beautiful Belgians horses that live at the farm. The Fair's mobile food wagon will be open for lunch and snacks. The activities will begin at 10 a.m.
