National Library Week is here: How have libraries influenced you?
Photo: We have a great library. It's a good community center for any community to have.

Photo: I don't take advantage of the library but a lot of people do and they can use it for the computers or research or to take out movies. It's nice that libraries are there for the people who want to use them.

Photo: It's been good for the children and for getting reference material on things you're interested in. I go down there and hook up my computer.

Photo: It's where I do all my research, because I don't use the internet at all. Everyone at the Norway library is really nice. They have a great selection of DVDs too.

Photo: Libraries are nice because you can go in there and get a video or a book or do research. It's a nice quiet place to go sit down and read.

Photo: I think it's very important to have libraries. I think the library is a great resource for young people, or even for older people who might not have a computer at home and can go in and use one there.

Photo: I think a library is a just a good place to have in the community. It's important so that people who don't have access to resources like computers can go in and use them.

Photo: I get books there, I donate books, I used to bring my kids in for story time. They have audio books that I like to listen to. I bought a book that was the fourth in a series, and I didn't know it was a series. The library had the first two and the third one they ordered in from another library. When I'm done, I'm going to donate the fourth one.

Editor’s Note: We are opening up our Person on the Street column to all our readers – not just the ones we manage to corner "on the street." So, please, take a moment and think about our question of the week, then send us your answer along with a photograph of you. You can email it to: newsteam@advertiserdemocrat.com with a subject line: POS or you can come down to the office at 1 Pikes Hill in Norway and we will happily take your picture.
