Would you support mixed-age (K-12) busing if it saved schools money?

Lucas Noonan Photo:

I would. I think it would be a good idea.

I'd be more in favor of that than see them have to cut teachers.

I don't see why not.

Hiram does that already. It definitely saves them a ton of money.

Yes. My kids go to Mountain Valley [high school] in Mexico, and they do that. A lot of the older kids help out the younger kids. It works out. There has to be some sort of monitoring to get it started and set the tone.

I have two kids that will be starting kindergarten in three to four years. I'd rather not. The little ones get lost in the bus as it is.

Ray Richards Photo:

I don't think it would be a good idea really. There's too much hazing from the big kids to the little kids. That's human nature.

I don't think so. I think smaller children should be with smaller children. They maybe get aggravated otherwise.

Next Week's Question:

Would you support a $250 fine for failure to clean snow off your car?

Editor’s Note: We are opening up our Person on the Street column to all our readers – not just the ones we manage to corner "on the street." So, please, take a moment and think about our question of the week, then send us your answer along with a photograph of you. You can email it to: newsteam@advertiserdemocrat.com with a subject line: POS or you can come down to the office at 1 Pikes Hill in Norway and we will happily take your picture.
