Steve Tobin is winner of the 2010 NPFG deer pool
NORWAY — The Norway-Paris Fish and Game Association met Wednesday, December 15 at the Norway Municipal Building on Danforth Street for the monthly potluck supper and business meeting. Members brought children's Christmas gifts and donated money to the Oxford County Families in Crisis. Also at the meeting Steve Tobin, the winner of the annual deer pool, was recognized. Steve won the doe pool. There were no bucks entered so the membership voted to donate the pool money along with the 50/50 money to the Christmas fund. Steve Tobin followed suit, donating his pool winnings also. New officers were also elected: President, Glenn Huntley; Vice-president, Fern Bosse; Secretary, Jane Jones; Treasurer, Frieda Truman; Publicity, Sylvia Bosse; Membership, Russell Teague; Safety Officer, David Day and Directors, Jim Alberi, Stan Parsons, Steve Tobin and Mike Rolfe.
A Range Committee was formed to work on several items including, but not limited to, range rules, relocation of the trap range, as well as the possibility of adding pistol and archery ranges. Range committee members are Chairman Sam Giles, Steve Tobin, Fern Bosse, Wayne Alberi, Robert Purington and Mike Rolfe. The Norway-Paris Fish and Game Association is a 40-year-old local club that believes that by working together they can benefit their local hunting and fishing related sports. They promote and encourage safety education in all outdoor sports. They also support local charitable organizations.
